In 2020, the institute organised and hosted Elevating Youth Voices — a national youth summit to examine the potential role of influencers and the various possible ways in which they can deploy their influence to achieve improved governance in a manner that can benefit society at large. 

The summit also conducted a re-examination of social media and its pros and cons. How can social media in Nigeria become more civil and purposeful without losing its spontaneity or eradicating a diversity of perspectives? Social media is more connected to public policy than entertainment because governments also use it as a means of communication to citizens. In this context, it can also be a tool for exacting or demonstrating transparency and accountability.
